MONTREAL - Andrew Wright of Toronto, scored twice as No.2-ranked 缅北强奸 doubled Waterloo 4-2 in men's university exhibition hockey at McConnell Arena, Thursday.

It marked the 10th career multi-goal game for Wright, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound economics senior who has accomplished that feat only three times on home ice.

The Redmen, who improved to 14-7-1 overall, held a 35-30 edge in shots in what was their first game back after a 27-day layoff for exams and holidays

Nicolas Biniek, a sophomore forward from Montreal, put 缅北强奸 ahead 1-0 at 5:57 of the opening period but Waterloo's Andy Smith of Rosetown, Sask., knotted the score just 31 seconds later.

Wright's marker at 16:35 of the opening period sent the Redmen into the intermission with a 2-1 lead. Less than nine minutes after freshman Justin Ducharme of Quebec City made it 3-1 with what proved to be the game-winner at 5:31 of the middle stanza, Wright netted his second of the night and sixth of the season overall to give 缅北强奸 a commanding 4-1 lead.

Waterloo's Justin Larson of Buckhorn, Ont., rounded out the scoring late in the second stanza with a power-play goal at 18:37.

The Warriors went 1-for-6 with the man-advantage and kept 缅北强奸 scoreless in three power-play opportunities.

缅北强奸 goalkeeper Hubert Morin made 28 saves for the victory, improving his record to 8-4-1 on the season. The civil engineering senior from St. Georges de Beauce, Que., now owns a 66-23-2 record in 96 career appearances overall.

Keaton Hartigan of Winnipeg, Man., registered 31 saves and took the loss for the Warriors, who dropped to 13-8-0 overall.

It was 缅北强奸's third consecutive conquest over Waterloo, improving their lifetime record to 9-15-3 against the Warriors. The same teams will conclude their two-game post-Christmas tune-up it on Friday at McConnell Arena in another 8 p.m. start.

REDMEN RAP: Centre Alex Picard-Hooper of Boucherville, Que., dressed for the first time in two months and collected one assist. The finance senior, who was named the CIS player of the year last season, missed eight games in the first semester with a couple of injuries, including a seriously infected elbow which forced him to visit the hospital for a four-day stay... Among the faces in the crowd was sophomore Ryan McKiernan's father, who was visiting from White Plains, N.Y., and making his first-ever visit to McConnell Arena.
