Verreault-Paul and Salisbury named 缅北强奸 athletes of the week

MONTREAL - Francis Verreault-Paul of Mashteuiatsh, Que., and Taylor Salisbury of Surrey, B.C., are the 缅北强奸 athletes of the week for the period ending March 7, 2010.

Verreault-Paul, a 5-foot-10, 178-pound left-winger with the hockey Redmen, scored six points, including three goals, in two playoff games as 缅北强奸 swept the No.3-ranked UQTR Patriotes to capture the OUA East conference title and qualify for a berth at the CIS national championship tournament in thunder Bay, Ont. The 22-year-old kinesiology and psychology sophomore netted the game-winner in a 3-2 road victory Trois-Rivieres on March 3 and then exploded for five points, including a pair of goals, in a 7-4 home-ice win over UQTR last Friday as 缅北强奸 swept their best-of-three final series in straight games. Before joining the Redmen in 2008, he attended College de Chicoutimi while playing for the QMJHL's Chicoutimi Sagueneens.

Salisbury, a 5-foot-6 rookie netminder with the women's hockey team, stopped 39 of 42 shots, registering a pair of wins and a shutout, as 缅北强奸 swept the Montreal Carabins to capture the Quebec conference championship and earn a berth at the CIS Nationals in Antigonish, N.S., March 11-14. The 18-year-old science freshman posted a 21-save shutout in the final game last Friday to eliminate the Carabins. Prior to enrolling at 缅北强奸, she attended Elgin Park secondary school in Surrey.
