Tanveer Ahmad appointed Executive Director of the Centre for Research in Air and Space Law
The Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL) is pleased to announce that Md. Tanveer Ahmad has been named Executive Director of the Centre for Research in Air and Space Law (CRASL).
Dr. Md.聽Tanveer聽Ahmad, LLM'10, DCL'16,聽is an Arsenault聽postdoctoral researcher at the IASL,聽the editor of the聽Annals of Air and Space Law, and an Assistant Professor (on leave) at the North South University, Bangladesh. During his doctoral studies, Dr. Ahmad held ICAO鈥檚 prestigious Assad聽Kotaite Fellowship聽and the Boeing Fellowship in Air & Space聽Law.
As its Executive Director, Dr. Ahmad will oversee the Centre's outreach and research programs. With his professional experience and academic credentials, he will play an important role in revitalising the CRASL and cementing the Faculty of Law鈥檚 position as the world鈥檚 foremost research and educational institution in the areas of air and space law.
Founded in 1976 by Dr. Nicolas Matte, the CRASL performs multidisciplinary research on technical, economic, policy and legal implications of a variety of aviation and aerospace issues. The Centre produces several publications, among which are the Annals of Air and Space Law, the world鈥檚 only bilingual journal in the field. 聽
