Statement by 缅北强奸鈥檚 Principal 鈥╫n the death of Jack Layton, BA鈥71
鈥淥n behalf of the 缅北强奸 community, I wish to express our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jack Layton,鈥 said 缅北强奸 Principal and Vice-Chancellor Heather Munroe-Blum. 鈥淲e have been proud to count him among our distinguished alumni, and are profoundly saddened to learn of his passing."
鈥淛ust a year ago, Mr. Layton visited our campus to meet with the incoming class of first-year 缅北强奸 students. Higher education, he told them, 鈥榠s an investment in making a better world, in finding solutions to some of the challenges that we鈥檙e dealing with as a community, as a global society, as a series of neighborhoods.鈥"
鈥淚n the four decades since his graduation in 1971, Jack Layton displayed remarkable courage and determination in seeking solutions to many of society鈥檚 most difficult challenges,鈥 Prof. Munroe-Blum said. 听鈥淲e will greatly miss him, but will always treasure the wisdom and good humour that he so generously shared.鈥
