Public Relations Issues Management

Published: 7 March 2005

Join us for the SRQ's first English-language training session. It will be followed by a bilingual question period.

Issues Management is shaping up to be the major concern of a growing number of organizations, whether in the private and public sectors, in all industries and at all levels — and whether their issues and risks are social, political, environmental, financial, or related to human resources. This workshop will examine the primary skills required for effective issues management: scanning, monitoring, analyzing, developing and implementing strategy and evaluating results.

The workshop is designed to give participants an understanding of how:

  • issues emerge through various social and political environments
  • issues come to light, evolve, become part of the public policy agenda and sometimes die out
  • stakeholder groups function or behave
  • the communications process operates at all levels

Speaker:

Leslie Quinton is Vice-President at Massy Forget relations publiques and has 15 years of experience in communications.
