Premature babies are they doomed? NO!
Contrary to popular belief most newborns do very well!
Often when people conjure up the image of a premature baby, they imagine a tiny little infant, vacillating between life and death, with tubes and wires and monitors attached all over his body.聽 In reality, this image represents only a very small portion of the babies born prematurely each year. The vast majority of babies born before term is healthy and grow up to be just like you and me.
The Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital of the 缅北强奸 Health Centre and Pr茅ma-Qu茅bec are holding a joint press conference to dismantle the myths about premature babies.

During the press conference:
- The Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital will talk about the vast majority of premature babies who do well
- Pr茅ma-Qu茅bec will unveil its plans for Qu茅bec鈥檚 first Journ茅e Quebecois pour les enfants prematur茅 taking place September 5th.
- Author Ginette Legendre will launch her new book Minus, la ch猫vre premature. After the press conference, Mme. Legendre will read from her children鈥檚 book in the clinic area of the hospital.
The parents of premature babies with attend the press conference with their children of various ages including Elizabeth and Beatrice Lamy of Trois Rivi茅re, the seven year old twins were born at 28 weeks.
