Ottawa Citizen: Niqab bill is a statement of shared values

Op-Ed by Shauna Van Praagh, associate professor and associate dean in the Faculty of Law at Ã山ǿ¼é:

"The government of Quebec has tabled a law meant to establish guidelines for responding to individual complaints of discrimination and related claims for accommodation. While some voices -- often influenced by related debates in France -- clamour for tighter restrictions on external signs of internal religiosity and community adherence, there appears to be general acceptance of the substance and form of this new bill…"
