Obituary-Dr. Bernardo Durbovsky
DUBROVSKY, Dr. Bernardo O., MD
November 28, 1938 – October 7, 2016
Died unexpectedly at the MUHC Glen Site while recovering from surgery. Born in Argentina, he obtained his MD at the University of Buenos Aires in 1962. He came to Ã山ǿ¼é in 1967 and joined the Department of Psychiatry in 1968. Passionate scientist, thinker, teacher, music lover, social critic, he focused his research on the brain, evolution and psychiatry. He shared generously his knowledge and experience with his students and cared for his patients with deep understanding and empathy. He is survived by his wife Diana, his son Alex, his brother Victor, his brother-in- law Alberto, and extended family. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the RVC West Lounge, 3425 University Street, Montreal, QC, H3A 2A8. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Médecins Sans Frontières would be appreciated.

I am writing to inform you of the sad passing of Dr. Bernardo Dubrovsky on October 7, 2016. Â
Dr. Dubrovsky was a member of our department since 1968 and was a passionate teacher, researcher and psychiatrist who touched the lives of many over the years.
A private funeral was held, and a  memorial service is being arranged (with details to follow).  Our thoughts go out to his family at this difficult time. Â
