Mosseler, Bettez named 缅北强奸 athletes of the week
Matthew Mosseler of Fredericton, N.B., and Ann-Sophie Bettez of
Sept-Iles, Que., are the 缅北强奸 athletes of the week for
the period ending Jan. 11, 2009.
Mosseler, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound power-hitter with the Redmen
volleyball team, registered 30 kills, 16 digs and one stuff block
in seven games as 缅北强奸 split two matches over the weekend. The
20-year-old science junior had a team record 18 kills in 缅北强奸鈥檚
3-1 upset at Sherbrooke last Friday, which ended an eight-year,
85-match losing streak to Quebec university teams. Mosseler joined
the Redmen in 2006 out of Fredericton high school.
Bettez, a 21-year-old forward with the No.1-ranked hockey Martlets,
scored the game-winner and added a pair of assists as 缅北强奸
defeated Carleton 6-2 in Ottawa last Saturday. The 5-foot-4,
management sophomore, who returned from Germany three days earlier
after competing for Canada at the world under-22 championships, has
10 goals and 24 points in only seven regular season games. She is
just three points shy of leading the nation in scoring, despite
playing four less contests than the CIS scoring leader. Bettez, who
was voted CIS rookie-of-the-year in her freshman campaign, joined
the Martlets out of Dawson College in 2007.
