Meet Dr. Gillian Bartlett-Esquilant, Family Medicine Research and Graduate Program Director
When Research and Graduate Program Director Dr. Gillian Bartlett-Esquilant, joined 缅北强奸鈥檚 Department of Family Medicine in 2005, primary care research in Canada was still in its infancy.聽Dr. Bartlett-Esquilant 鈥 who completed her PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at 缅北强奸 and her postdoctoral work at Universit茅 de Montr茅al 鈥 was brought in by then-Department Chair Martin Dawes specifically to help increase 缅北强奸 Family Medicine鈥檚 research capacity. 鈥淭he Department is now a leader in terms of primary care research,鈥 she says. 鈥淪ince my recruitment in 2005, we鈥檝e built a graduate program and a clinician scholar program that is a research-focused program for residents through the Canadian College of Family Physicians and we were one of the first to be accredited in Canada.鈥
