TORONTO - Anthony Lucka, an all-conference defensive back with the 缅北强奸 Redmen, has signed a two-year contract as a long-snapper with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.

Lukca (pronounced luke-ah) is a 24-year-old native of St. Laurent, Que., who played five seasons with the Redmen, from 2005 to 2009.

The 5-foot-9, 191-pound physical education senior was credited with 209 total tackles, four knockdowns and seven interceptions in 35 career contests. Lukca first learned his long-snapping trade from former Redmen and Argonaut J.P. Darche, who was his next-door neighbor while growing up and played nine seasons as a long-snapper in the National Football League with Seattle and Kansas City.

Lukca played his high school ball at College Notre-Dame and was named captain of the team in 2002. He moved on to Choate Rosemary Hall, a prep school in Wallingford, Conn., where he was again named captain of the varsity team.
In 2005 he started at 缅北强奸 and the next season he was named 缅北强奸's most improved player and led the team in interceptions. By the time his senior season rolled around he was named as one of the co-captains.
