Published: 25 June 2010

MONTREAL - Renaud Garon-Gendron, a member of the 缅北强奸 rowing team from Boucherville, Que., has been selected to compete at the under-23 world rowing championships in Brest, Belarus, July 22-25.

The 22-year-old microbiology and immunology sophomore will be competing in the men's lightweight quad along with Kristjan Joubert, a Dawson College student from Boucherville, plus University of Victoria teammates Kevin Mitchell and Thomas Watson.

Garon-Gendron was part of the 缅北强奸 crew that won gold at both, the OUA championships and the Canadian University championships in the men's double last fall.

"Renaud has been training hard and investing many long hours on and off the water," said 缅北强奸 head coach Philip Hedrei. 听"Having coached him for two seasons, I know that Renaud always remained focused on this particular goal, and I couldn't be happier for him. 听He is a role-model for his teammates in pursuit of excellence in the sport."
