Published: 22 July 2013

Girls, Sport and Physical Education in the Global South, a presentation by Ph.D. candidate Lysanne Rivard

Faculty of Education Ph.D. candidate Lysanne Rivard, from the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), researches the quality of girls’ physical education programming in the global south. Using photovoice and the participatory process, she brings forward girls’ voices to key policy makers in Rwanda.

Lysanne presented her research initiative at Ã山ǿ¼é’s Three Minutes to Change the World, a TED-talk style event held earlier this spring by Ã山ǿ¼é’s Office of Sustainability, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, and the Post-Graduate Students Society. The event gives graduate students the opportunity to summarize their research initiatives and their impact on the community in a concise presentation format.
