TROIS-RIVIERES, Que. - The UQTR Patriotes connected on a pair of first-period power play opportunities and then rode the back of rookie netminder Guillaume Nadeau of St. Jean Chrysostome, Que., en route to a 3-1 upset over No.2 ranked 缅北强奸 in men's university hockey at Trois-Rivieres on Wednesday.

But 缅北强奸 overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat Nipissing 4-3 last Saturday, so there was some hope when sniper Francis Verreault-Paul of Mashteuiatsh, Que., connected on the power-play, with his fourth of the season, at 19:26 to send his troops into the intermission on a high note.
