Going Global Canadian City Guides now available
CaPS is pleased to announce that Going Global's Canadian City
Guides are now available! provides international employment and career information
and is an indispensable resource if you are interested in working
and living abroad. To find out more about Going Global and how to
use it, click here. You will find the Canadian City
Guides for Calgary, Edmonton, Montr茅al, Ottawa, Toronto and
Vancouver under the Country Guides. These guides provide
information on cost of living, job search resources, industry
trends, non-profit and volunteer opportunities, CV and cover letter
guidelines, interviewing and cultural advice, and much more! Please
note that you must be connected to the VPN to access Going Global,
although you may subsequently create a personal account in order to
access the system from anywhere.
Other new features in Going Global include Country Guides for Costa
Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, and Guatemala as well as an updated H1B
Visa (most common U.S. visa for foreign workers) database.

The 2009 (YES) Montreal placement
agency and headhunters directories are now in and on reserve at the
front desk.
The latest issue of Statistic Canada's is now
available in section 5.122. This issue includes statistics on
international differences in low-paid work, family work patterns,
barriers to training access, and a Guaranteed Income Supplement
(GIS) update. Please note that this is the quarterly print edition,
which compiles previous monthly editions along with reprints of
articles not found anywhere else on the StatsCan website.
