MONTREAL – Ã山ǿ¼é receiver Erik Galas of Ottawa has earned All-Canadian honours for the second straight year.

Galas, who made the CIS second-team last year, is one of 48 All-Canadian honours attributed to the Ã山ǿ¼é football program. He put an exclamation point on his five-year career with the Redmen, tallying 64 receptions, the third highest single-season total of all-time, and setting a CIS career record with 194 catches. The previous mark of 190 was held since 2005 by former Western Hec Crighton Award winner Andy Fantuz.

Galas, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound slotback, ranked fifth among CIS leaders in yards this season (781). The fifth-year physical education major snared six touchdowns in eight games and also established Ã山ǿ¼é career record for most receptions, yardage (2,555) and receiving TDs in a career (19).

It marks the fourth straight year that Ã山ǿ¼é has had an All-Canadian receiver.
