Facilitator Training Program Opportunity (Leadership Training)

Are you interested in gaining facilitation skills to lead workshops in the 2009-2010 Leadership Training Program?

If so, the First-Year Office invites you to apply for the Facilitator Training Program. The Facilitator Training Program is free and gives approximately 20 students the opportunity to gain skills in leading workshops, public speaking as well as leadership and facilitation.  Interested students must be returning to attend Ã山ǿ¼é for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Successful candidates will need to be available for a weekend of Facilitator Training on Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th.  These students then facilitate a minimum of 5 workshops in the next academic year.  Workshops include Server Training (for events involving alcohol on campus), Core Training for Student Services’ volunteers and training summer FROSH and Discover Ã山ǿ¼é group leaders. You will learn skills that are relevant both for Ã山ǿ¼é-specific Leadership Training and transferable to other contexts.   After completion of the program, you will receive a facilitation training certificate and a personal letter of attestation.

Participation will be by application and interview.  Group interviews sessions will be held from 5:30-7:30 on March 3rd and 4th.  Invitations will be extended to selected applications to attend one of the group interviews, after which a final section shall be made.
