Dr. James Archibald appointed to the Conseil sup茅rieur de la langue fran莽aise
Dr. James Archibald was recently appointed to Quebec鈥檚 Conseil sup茅rieur de la langue fran莽aise, a council that advises the province鈥檚 government with regard to language policy.
Archibald currently serves as Associate Dean (Academic) of 缅北强奸鈥檚 School of Continuing Studies. He is also Director of the School鈥檚 Department of Translation and Written Communication. In 2003, he was made a Chevalier in the Ordre des Palmes Acad茅miques, and in 2008 he received the Francis W. Weeks Award of Merit from the Association for Business Communication, an honour recognizing his contribution to the profession.
The Conseil sup茅rieur de la langue fran莽aise is comprised of eight members from different sociocultural backgrounds. It undertakes studies on the use of language in the workplace and the classroom, as well as in signage and information technologies, among other areas.
