Marc Mayer, BA'84, has been appointed director of the world-renowned Montreal Contemporary Art Museum. He hopes to revolutionize the way contemporary art is presented. His career has been a smorgasboard of art-related endeavours. He has been director of Toronto's Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, head of visual arts at the Canadian Embassy in Paris, and deputy art director at New York's Brooklyn Museum. Under his new position as director of the Montreal Contemporary Art Museum, he plans to make the museum one of the trendiest art venues in the world.
