CIS TOP 10 TUESDAY (#11): Five 缅北强奸 teams ranked among nation's best this week

Published: 15 November 2011

OTTAWA (CIS) - There are five 缅北强奸 varsity teams listed this week in the CIS national rankings, including the Martlets and Redmen hockey squads, who are classified as No.1 and No.2, respectively.

In cross-country running, the Guelph Gryphons easily repeated as double national champions on Saturday in Quebec City. Genevi猫ve Lalonde and Andrew Nixon claimed the individual titles as the Guelph women captured their seventh straight CIS team banner, while the men were crowned for the sixth consecutive year.

In basketball, the Regina Cougars still lead the women's rankings after improving to 3-0 in conference play thanks to road wins against Victoria, 74-65, and No. 3 UBC, 77-66. On the men's side, the reigning W.P. McGee trophy champion Carleton Ravens (2-0) kicked off the regular season with road victories over McMaster, 77-61, and Brock, 98-56.

In hockey, the 缅北强奸 women and UNB men, both defending CIS champs, remain at No. 1. The Martlets (6-1) beat Carleton 4-1 in their only outing of the past weekend, while the Varsity Reds (8-1-1) dominated Dalhousie 9-2 before dropping a 6-5 shootout decision at No. 7 Acadia.

In volleyball, the reigning national champs also maintained their No. 1 status. The UBC Thunderbirds (4-0), who lead the women's rankings, enjoyed a break in their Canada West schedule last week, while in men's competition, the Trinity Western Spartans improved to 4-0 in league action with a weekend sweep over Brandon, in three and four sets.

Finally in swimming, Toronto leads Calgary on the women's side, while the Dinos edge the Varsity Blues for first place in the men's rankings.
