SAINT-EUSTACHE, Que. - Rookie Carolyn Bell, a defender from West Vancouver, B.C., scored the game-winner and added an assist as the 缅北强奸 Martlets 听blanked UQAM 2-0 in Quebec university indoor soccer league action at the Saint-Eustache soccer complex, Sunday.

In men's play, UQAM defeated 缅北强奸 2-0 as the Redmen fell to 0-1.

听

It was the second win in as many weeks for the Martlets, who share first-place if the eight-team league with Laval and Sherbrooke.

听

Bell, a biology freshman, converted a pass from Anna Smith in the 35th minute of play. She then set up sophomore Alexandra Morin-Boucher of St. Gabriel de Brandon, Que., with three minutes remaining in the contest.

听

"We're still not in our top game shape after a two-month break from the fall outdoor season," said Martlets head coach Marc Mounicot. "But our game today was a better performance than last week's (a 5-2 win over Bishop's) and UQAM was a well-organized, physical opponent. "I thought we controlled most of the ball possession during the game."

听

Mounicot indicated that he will be using the indoor season primarily to develop the freshmen and sophomores, especially those who did not see much playing time during the outdoor season.
