Arcade Fire brings musicians and athletes together for charity basketball game

缅北强奸, in conjunction with POP Montreal,听 Win Butler of the rock band Arcade Fire and Dexter John of DJ Sports Club, is presenting the first annual POP vs JOCK charity basketball game on Sat., Sept. 24 at the 缅北强奸 Sports Centre, 475 Pine Avenue West. Tickets are $20 per person or $75 for corporate donations, which are tax deductable. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., followed by tip-off at 4:30 p.m.

All proceeds from this game will go towards DJ Sports Club, a non-profit charity organization in Montreal's south-west borough that offers programs in sports and education to youth 7 to 17 years old.

The game will feature the ferocious Butler brothers (Win and Will) leading a team of musicians (Team POP) against an all-star team comprised of current and former players from the 缅北强奸 Redmen and Concordia Stingers (Team JOCK).

Guests will include former NBA veteran Matt Bonner, who played for the San Antonio Spurs and Chris Tomson of Vampire Weekend, as well as other celebrities. The half-time show will feature performances by Kid Koala and organ played by R茅gine Chassagne along with a world premiere bicycle symphony called DRONES composed by Richard Reed Parry.
