2017 SSHRC Connection Grant

Published: 19 January 2017

Congratulations to Professor Demetrios Vakratsas on receiving a 2017 for his project entitled “Empirical & Theoretical Canadian Marketing Strategy Symposium: Marketing Analytics for Better Decisions”.

The project will support the organization of the 5th Empirical and Theoretical Marketing Strategy Symposium (“ET Symposium”) at Desautels in May 2017 under the theme: “Marketing Analytics for Better Decisions.” The ultimate goal of the ET Symposium is to develop the most authoritative knowledge network on state-of-the-art quantitative marketing research. Particular emphasis will be placed on the participation of PhD students across Canada.

SSHRC Connection Grants support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives. These events and activities represent opportunities to exchange knowledge and to engage on research issues of value to those participating. Events and outreach activities (ie. workshops, colloquiums, conferences, forums, summer institutes) funded by a Connection Grant may often serve as a first step toward more comprehensive and longer-term projects potentially eligible for funding through other SSHRC funding opportunities.
