On October 11, Professor Margaret Somerville gave the first installment of her 2006 Massey Lecture, on the theme "The Ethical Imagination: Journeys of the Human Spirit," at the Mount Royal Centre.

Professor Somerville will then go on to deliver her lectures across Canada (St. John's, Oct. 14; Vancouver, Oct. 17; Calgary, Oct. 19; Toronto, Oct. 27). The lectures will then be broadcast on CBC's radio program Ideas, November 6-10, 2006.
