John E.C. Brierley Memorial Lecture – L’ordre juridique arbitral: réalité, spécificité et utilité
Professor Emmanuel Gaillard, one of the world’s leading international arbitration experts, will deliver the John E.C. Brierley Memorial Lecture at the Faculty of Law of Ã山ǿ¼é University on September 24, 2009. This year’s lecture is entitled L’ordre juridique arbitral: réalité, spécificité et utilité.
Emmanuel Gaillard is Professor of Law at Université de Paris XII, Chairman of the International Arbitration Institute (IAI) and head of the international arbitration practice of the law firm of Shearman & Sterling. One of the world’s leading international arbitrators, he is the author of some of the most influential works in the field of international arbitration, including Les aspects philosophiques du droit de l’arbitrage international, published in 2008.
