Curious about career options in Counseling, Psychology & Social Work?

Come to this fun and informative speed mentoring event, organized by 缅北强奸's Career and Planning Services and the Quebec Counseling Association. Mentors will be seasoned professionals working in a variety of settings and specialties within the helping professions. As new professionals or graduate students, you will have an opportunity to meet in small groups with each mentor and engage in a discussion about their career and ways to get involved in their line of work. Bring your questions, contact info and an open mind!


SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

Nadja Grabovari, M.A., O.P.Q. Career Counsellor and Psychologist in Private Practice
Nadja Grabovari is a licensed psychologist. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with Concentration in Clinical Psychology from Tirana University. She received her Master of Art degree in Counselling Psychology from 缅北强奸 in 2007. After completing her internship at Rosemount High School doing crisis intervention, vocational and career counselling, she started working at Yes Montreal as a Career Counsellor. For the past 7 years, she has been providing career, personal counselling and assessment services to adults from different backgrounds.听 She has also facilitated different workshops on Self-Assessment, Getting Motivated and Staying Focused, in addition to co-facilitating a support group with job seekers to enhance self-esteem. Currently, Nadja is doing a postgraduate training in Marital and Family Therapy at Argyle Institute of Human Relations in Montreal. Recently, she has joined the Clinic of Dr.Bita, providing individual and couple therapy to overcome anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and marital distress. She has started her private practice as well.

Dalia Spatzner, MSW Social Worker, Solomon Schechter Academy Dalia is currently working at Solomon Schechter Academy as a School Social Worker. She completed my Bachelors of Social Work at 缅北强奸 and proceeded to do a Masters of Social Work at Columbia University. During 听her Bachelors degree, she interned at the Douglas Hospital in Children鈥檚 Psychiatry, The NDG Senior Citizen鈥檚 Council and finally, the Center for Arts and Human Development at Concordia University. She has a multitude of work and volunteer experience working with different populations such as children with severe mental and physical delays, older adults, young adults with developmental disabilities and many more.

Fatima Nabi, M.A., O.P.Q. Chief Academic Advisor, Department of Psychology, 缅北强奸 Fatima holds a BA in Psych and English-Cultural Studies, and an MA in Counselling Psychology, both from 缅北强奸. Prior to starting work with the Dept of Psychology, she spent four years as a Psychologist at the senior campus of Peter Hall School (a school for students aged 4-21 who have Intellectual Disabilities and/or ASDs with or without associated physical disabilities/other psychiatric disorders). She is also a Psychologist in private practice, working with issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, and relationship conflicts.

Amanda Luterman, MA, MEd, CCC Certified Counsellor in Private Practice I obtained my BA in psychology and women's studies at 缅北强奸, and both my MA and MEd at Columbia University in NYC. In January of 2010, I started a private practice for adults and couples in Montreal. All your questions are welcome!

Wayne Clifford, M.Ed., C.C.C. Former school teacher, administrator, teacher-specialist in Guidance at Beaconsfield High School. A past president and current director of QCA,听former听Quebec Anglophone director to CCPA.听 A current director on the Board of听the Sexual Health Network of Quebec.

Mary Ann Lichacz-Karwatsky, M.Ed.听 I have a Master in Education in Counselling Psychology from 缅北强奸.听I have worked with high school students and adult students in Adult Centres, helping them with career plans, for college and university,听or trade schools. Counselling also involved working through their personal problems.听

Samantha Goldberg, M.A., c.o. Residence Life Advisor, 缅北强奸
Samantha Goldberg is a Residence Life Advisor in the Student Housing & Hospitality Services Department at 缅北强奸.听 In this role she supervises a group of second year students who create community-building programming for first year students living in Residence.听 Samantha came into this position with three years of counselling experience, having worked as a Career Counsellor at 缅北强奸鈥檚 CaPS and YES Montreal (Youth Employment Services), running workshops and providing individual counselling听related to job search and career exploration.听 Her educational background includes a B.Sc. in听Psychology and Biology听from Dalhousie University and an M.A. in Counselling Psychology from 缅北强奸.听Samantha also continues to run a small private counselling practice outside of her primary post at 缅北强奸.

Margot Nossal, MSW, Youth Protection Delegate, Batshaw Youth and Family Centres
Margot holds a BA in Cultural Studies, and completed her graduate work at 缅北强奸's School of Social Work.听 She has clinical experience working with youth and their families in hospital and community settings, and has worked as a member of research teams addressing youth gambling problems, and parenting children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
