What 缅北强奸 Arts Students are Loving this Fall

Communications assistant Chantay Alexander spoke to Arts students to find out what activities they are looking forward to this Fall.

Sweater weather is here! Personally, I think this season has everything you could ask for: delicious recipes, fall hikes in the crisp air, comfort movies or shows (who else will be binge watching Gilmore Girls over reading week?), and arguably the best fashion. As we returned to campus and saw the leaves slowly changing, I asked 缅北强奸 Arts students what they were most excited about this fall.听

缅北强奸 campus during fallWe start things off with a few submissions on appreciating the outdoors. There鈥檚 nothing like the sounds of brightly-coloured leaves crunching under your feet to get you in the mood for autumn.听

Sophie Semeniuk (U2 in Cultural Studies & Art History): 鈥淢y favourite thing about fall, and what I鈥檓 most excited about this year, is going hiking and seeing all of the changing colours of the leaves. I鈥檓 also hoping to go on a nice, cool hike somewhere!鈥澨

Melina Atsaidis (U3 in History & Political Science): 鈥淒uring the fall break, I enjoy catching up with friends and going to the botanical gardens as well as going on day trips with friends up north. I鈥檓 looking forward to apple picking and eating some delicious apple pie!"

Nadiia Logka (U3 in Linguistics): 鈥淭his fall, I would love to go hiking with my friends to observe the beautiful orange and red leaves! I also want to carve the most fabulous and detailed pumpkin ever.鈥澨

Unsurprisingly, the fan favourite spooky October holiday is also on many students鈥 minds. Grab some friends and find a costume to join in on the fun!听

Francesco Cremonini (U3 in English Drama & Theatre): 鈥淭his fall I鈥檓 looking forward to the Halloween events and creative costumes people are going to wear. I鈥檓 also planning to watch the acapella concerts in November, and visit the Macdonald Campus for the first time while the weather is still nice."

缅北强奸 campus during fallCharlotte Dujardin (U1 in Political Science): 鈥This is my first autumn in Canada and I鈥檓 super excited for Thanksgiving 鈥 which is super new to me 鈥 and for Halloween, which isn鈥檛 a very big deal in Europe. I also love seeing the campus transitioning from green, to orange, to red. It鈥檚 so beautiful!!鈥澨

Rhiane Persaud (U3 in Religious Studies & Art History): 鈥淚鈥檓 getting excited for Halloween! Trying to plan out a costume and a Halloween party. I鈥檓 also hoping to go to The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween ball in Montreal. Also, I鈥檓 happy to be able to bring out my jumpers, blazers, and wool trousers that have been packed away for months. Here in Wales, we鈥檝e been gifted tons of apples from friends鈥 and neighbours鈥 trees so I鈥檓 excited to make some apple pie. The blackberries are still in season as well so I鈥檓 sure I鈥檒l go picking soon.鈥澨

We couldn鈥檛 write a fall article without including some delicious seasonal treats, and 缅北强奸 Arts students will be hitting the caf茅s this season! What would fall be without spiced drinks and freshly baked pie?听听

Neha Jhaj (U3 in Psychology): 鈥淚鈥檓 really excited to watch fall movies and bake a ton of fall recipes this year. It鈥檚 finally getting cold enough to have hot coffee and warm fall-themed drinks again! Also, we can all agree that fall fashion is superior 鈥 I can鈥檛 wait to go thrifting this fall and hopefully find the perfect coat. I鈥檓 also glad that this semester, things are opening back up on campus at 缅北强奸, and somewhat returning to how it used to be. I鈥檓 especially looking forward to some fun fall-themed events and will probably swing by Bar des Arts soon as well!鈥澨

Jaz Kaur (U3 in Sociology): 鈥淚鈥檓 excited for the fall so that I can enjoy warm drinks 鈥 and start re-watching Gilmore Girls!鈥澨

缅北强奸 campus during fallZoe Lubetkin (U3 in English Literature): 鈥淭his fall I鈥檓 into a few things: first, sharing clothes with people you care about. This is epic because you get to change up your look to accommodate the missing item and then when you get, say, your jacket back, it smells like them faintly and you think of them throughout the day. Also, a cardamom latte from Caf茅 Chez Teta. It normally takes me five hours to drink a coffee (after three hours I鈥檓 grimacing into a cold cup) but their cardamom latte is delicious and finished in 15 minutes tops, all smiles the entire way.鈥澨

Catherine Steel (U1 in Art History): 鈥淚鈥檓 super excited this fall for lots of cooking, I鈥檝e been making lots of pasta dishes and roasted vegetables! My roommates and I have also been doing movie nights and watching reality tv shows. Watching Gilmore Girls and Buffy the Vampire Slayer are some of my guilty pleasures, and they鈥檙e truly the perfect shows for fall vibes.鈥澨

Whether it鈥檚 hiking in the woods with friends, or lighting a fall-scented candle and baking some seasonal goodies, Arts students are clearly eager to make the most of this break. What are your plans for this fall Reading Week?听听
